About Me

My name is Gloria, and I'm the founder of The Sitting Dog Petcare. Pets are family, and leaving your furbabies in someone else's care can be a tough decision. That's why I hope you will choose my services! I continue building not only a stellar professional reputation in pet care and behavior, but bring you a breadth of animal care experience and knowledge. I utilize hands-on experience and knowledge earned through my Psychology degree to understand the latest research and information on animal care and behavior management.

Interacting with animals has always been a part of my life. My experience includes working at a petstore and 2 dog daycares. Plus I was a Rover pet sitter for over 3 years, and most recently was a coordinator of animal adoptions with an Ohio shelter. As a teen, I was mentored in dog training and became a certified therapy dog handler. I have witnessed and implemented force-free, science-based behavioral training methods and trust these for animals with which I work.

I hold additional experience with cats as well as exotics, including small animals and reptiles.

At home I have 3 cats: Hazel, Harlow, and Littles, and Swirl the guinea pig. I strive to ensure both my pets--and yours--are happy and healthy. It's not just my passion, it's what our pets deserve!
